EPISODE 32: WELCOME (BACK) TO YOU’RE FUCKING WELCOME

I’m back! I’m so excited to be back podcasting, and a lot has happened since I last spoke here. I didn’t mean to take so long of a hiatus, but it just didn’t feel right. It didn’t feel exciting or purposeful until I went through a lot of self discovery. I really got to know myself over the last year and as a result, I had the best year of my life in a lot of weird ways.

Getting stuck at home kinda forced us to face ourselves and deal with shit that we’ve been avoiding. I ended up hiring a life coach and I got to know myself on a much deeper level and allowed myself to be who I really am. I’m a different human being than I was a year ago. Really working on myself also exploded my business in some deep and significant ways and I want to share it all with you.

“You’re Fucking Welcome” came about kinda accidentally. When you’re rooted in authenticity, believe in the way you’re showing up, of course you can say, “You’re fucking welcome for the opportunity to pay me.” It’s a confident, authentic attitude that doesn’t allow you to dampen who you are.

The first piece of why “You’re Fucking Welcome” is important:

I want to give you permission to make money doing what you love. It sounds cheesy, but if you are anchored in your truth, you can make a bigger impact in the world and live life the way you want to. Being happier with your work allows you to be a better partner, business owner, parent, all of it. If you’re doing right by your people, nothing bad happens when you get paid.

The second part of why I’m doing this:

You’re fucking welcome to be yourself. You can, and should, apply this attitude and confidence in all areas of life. It’s not a defensive attitude, it’s more neutral. You don’t like me? Okay. I like who I am. It’s okay to not want to fit in with people you don’t like. It’s okay to own imperfections, and we’ll talk about that in another episode.

The third thing this podcast stands for:

You’re welcome for talking about this. Small talk is the worst. But, I live for the deeper conversations that are really meaningful and impactful. I want to talk about the uncomfortable stuff because we, as entrepreneurs, don’t have to do all this alone.

During our time together, I want to guide and support you in feeling confident in who you are. I’m not doing this to make money, or because of a launch. I’m podcasting again because it fulfills the hell out of me!
